This is a Contract role

Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician for a contract, hourly position. You will be responsible for assembling automated test and assembly equipment designed by our in-house engineers. This role involves working with both mechanical and electrical systems, requiring a detail-oriented and technically proficient individual who can work independently and collaboratively.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assemble automated test and assembly equipment based on designs provided by in-house engineers. This includes both mechanical and electrical components.
  • Aggregate and interpret various forms of documentation, such as bills of materials (BOM), schematics, and CAD models, to accurately assemble equipment.
  • Work with engineers to understand assembly requirements and resolve any technical issues that arise during the assembly process.
  • Set up and run basic functional tests on equipment to ensure proper operation before deployment.
  • Manage tasks independently, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assembly projects.
  • Occasionally assist in procuring tools and parts necessary for equipment assembly, although this is not a primary responsibility.


  • Proven experience as an Assembly Technician or similar role, preferably with automated equipment.
  • Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation, including BOMs, schematics, and CAD models.
  • Basic knowledge of functional testing procedures for assembled equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills for collaborating with engineers and other team members.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with automated test and assembly equipment.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes for tools and parts.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.

Pay Range: $25/hr - $30/hr

Pay dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
