Your Role
The Electrical Manufacturing/Test Engineer role requires the technical expertise and ambition to support manufacturing needs for innovative IoT products. You will focus on specifying, programming, and deploying equipment for assembly and testing, balancing hands-on technical work with project management and production setup.
Responsibilities
- Manufacturing Process Development: Develop and refine manufacturing processes with an emphasis on in-line product testing. Collaborate with the engineering team to understand requirements, create process documentation, plan and execute qualification plans, and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Data-Driven Problem Solving: Analyze production data to identify and mitigate issues, merging and interpreting multiple data sources to draw actionable conclusions.
- Assembly Method Qualification: Develop and qualify assembly methods to enhance production efficiency and reliability.
- Supplier Collaboration: Work with suppliers to improve manufacturing strategies, enhance product quality, and reduce costs.
- Adaptability in a Dynamic Environment: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, taking on additional responsibilities as the company grows.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or test development.
- Proficiency in functional testing of electrical and/or electro-mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with wireless communication protocols, particularly RF and Bluetooth (BLE).
- Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment.
- Comfort with PLM software for document control.
- Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience with automated test equipment systems.
- Working knowledge of MongoDB, NoSQL, MySQL, or similar databases (queries, keys, joins, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- High aptitude for electrical systems and IoT devices.
- Experience with Industry 4.0, smart factories, or related disciplines.
- Competence in writing detailed requirements for in-house or externally developed equipment.
- Proficiency in statistics and statistical process control.
Pay Range: $110,000 - $140,000
*Base salary only. Salary is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
