CoFi’s funds control specialists manage pre-close due diligence such as cost and builder reviews, draws, inspections, and compliance from project start to finish.

Role Description The Funds Control Specialist is a full-time, on-site or remote role. This position is responsible for managing construction loan funds control activities, including processing draw requests, reviewing supporting documentation, and verifying compliance with lender and project requirements. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating inspections, tracking project budgets and cost allocations, reviewing lien waivers, and maintaining accurate records for each project. The Funds Control Specialist collaborates closely with lenders, builders, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant movement of funds. This role also involves identifying discrepancies, resolving issues proactively, and contributing to process improvements that enhance the reliability and efficiency of CoFi Blueprint’s services.

Qualifications

  • Experience in construction lending, loan servicing, banking operations, or related financial services, with strong understanding of draws, inspections, and project budgets.
  • Proficiency in reviewing financial documents such as invoices, lien waivers, cost breakdowns, and compliance forms, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with lenders, builders, inspectors, and internal teams in a clear, professional manner.
  • Comfort with technology and construction finance or banking software platforms; proficiency in common office tools (e.g., spreadsheets, document management systems).
  • Prior experience in construction, real estate finance, title, escrow, or risk/compliance functions is highly beneficial.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, construction management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
