Day to Day Activities
Manage Server and Laptop Inventory
Supervise Server and Laptop System Images
Oversee Office Networking and VPN connections
Lead Directory Services (Active Directory, FreeIPA)
Run SaaS and SAML integrations ( GSuite/ Google Workspaces / Slack / Confluence / Jira et al)
Operating Systems: Windows 2019 & Ubuntu 18.04, RedHat 7 & 8
System Provisioning Experience: IPMI, PXE, iPXE, DHCP, Foreman, Netbox, Collins, RedHat Kickstart, Debian Preseed
Hardware Experience: HP, Dell, SuperMicro Server
Configuration Management Experience: CFEngine, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt
Networking Experience: Site to Site VPNs, IPSec, WireGuard, BGP.
Server Infrastructure Experience: Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, Kerberos, SSH
CI/CD: Gitlab, Jenkins or similar
System Package Management: DEBs (Debian Packages), RPMs, conan, MSI
Scripting: Bash, Python, Powershell
Monitoring: ELK, Check_MK, Nagios, Prometheus
Capable of carrying and installing heavy servers (upwards of 50-60 lbs)
Some physical bending might be required for installations, wiring, and getting into tight spaces for electrical/data connection setup.
Weekends and overtime may be required when needed.
