About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Manufacturing Engineer. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and optimization of CAD, PDM, PLM, and BOM processes and systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our product information management systems.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies for managing product data throughout its lifecycle, from creation to retirement, and accurate BOM for all products.
Establish and maintain engineering standards, drawing and data standards, naming conventions, and classification systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Oversee the configuration and administration of PDM, PLM, and ERP software systems integration, including 3D models, 2D drawings, part numbering, BOM, Electrical schematics, and documentation.
Train and support the implementation of engineering processes and tools through effective change management.
Manage the HW BOM Management (EBOM/MBOM/etc.), ECO process, product structure, configuration engineering, change management, and revision control and tracking.
Maintain components data, supplier information, and approved vendor lists in the PDM/PLM systems.
Orchestrate Obsolescence Management including forecasting, Engineering Solutions, Last Time Buy management, and coordination with Supply chain and field support engineers.
Lead ECO Execution including writing and executing changes for new products, product upgrades, manufacturing improvement, supplier issues, and change waivers
Manage Product Build Documentation including Operations Methods Sheet (OMS) creation and Redlines, Master Layout (MLO) Creation, and maintenance of the master model.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for design analysis and modification.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Proven experience in the integration and management of PDM, and PLM systems for the product development life cycle within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
In-depth knowledge of PDM/BOM principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Experience with PDM & PLM software platforms (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Autodesk Vault, Oracle Agile, Arena) and familiarity with CAD software.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and drive initiatives to completion.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
Strong ability to multi-task and switch contexts while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, data integrity, and continuous improvement.
Base pay is one element of our Total Rewards package which may also include comprehensive benefits and equity etc., depending on eligibility. The annual base salary range for this position is from $130,000 to $140,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as years of relevant experience, skills, education etc. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis
