Dexterity Inc. has an opening for a Robotics Engineer II at 1205 Veterans Blvd., Redwood City, California94063. 40 hrs/wk; 9am - 5pm; M-F. $163,696 to $170,000.
Responsibilities: Defining a designing the specifications of a multiapplication hardware platform across hardware, platform, and product engineering teams; weekly managing cross-functional dependencies & communicating to program stakeholders in Supply Chain, Product, & GTM; designing the system hardware & implementing the drivers & SW for new Robot OEM's / partners; developing robot control software utilizing C++ & Python and infrastructure that spans the entire stack of low level mechatronic hardware to high level vision systems; working on algorithms and state estimation techniques and high-frequency/real-time software applications, such as weight-based force packing, fly-by barcode scanning, robot motion and planning, perception, feedback control, kinematics, and signal processing; developing novel controllers for multi-robot & human-robot collaboration; and developing planning algorithms for safe operations.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or related field (or foreign degree equivalent), plus 5 years of post-bachelors progressively responsible experience in Robotics Engineering positions. Experience must include: defining & designing the specifications of a multiapplication hardware platform across hardware, platform, and product engineering teams; weekly managing cross functional dependencies & communicating to program stakeholders in supply chain, product, & GTM; designing the system hardware & implementing the drivers & SW for new Robot OEM's / partners; working with robot kinematics, dynamics and control; writing libraries utilizing C++ & Python; working with state estimation techniques and high-frequency software applications, such as weight-based force packing and fly-by barcode scanning; and real-time systems and large-scale scalable software applications; OR Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or related field (or foreign degree equivalent), plus 3 years of experience in Robotics Engineering positions. Experience must include:defining & designing the specifications of a multiapplication hardware platform across hardware, platform, and product engineering teams; weekly managing cross functional dependencies & communicating to program stakeholders in supply chain, product, & GTM; designing the system hardware & implementing the drivers & SW for new Robot OEM's / partners; working with robot kinematics, dynamics and control; writing libraries utilizing C++ & Python; working with state estimation techniques and high-frequency software applications, such as weight-based force packing and fly-by barcode scanning; and real-time systems and large-scale scalable software applications.
