We're looking for a Business Development Lead - a strategic, execution-oriented sales professional who will drive customer acquisition, revenue growth and market penetration for Energy Web's technology solutions. You'll combine deep customer engagement skills with a solid understanding of product principles to tailor solution offerings, support go-to-market execution and close strategic deals in the energy and sustainability markets.
This role sits at the intersection of sales, product and technical delivery teams owning the full cycle from prospecting through close while shaping how our solutions reach the market.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement go-to-market plans for Energy Web solutions, including Verified Compute Cloud and related technology offerings across non-profit/foundation and commercial market segments
- Own pipeline development, deal progression, and revenue delivery against targets
Customer Engagement & Solution Selling
- Engage with prospects and clients to understand their business challenges and value drivers
- Deliver compelling pitches and tailored product demonstrations aligned to buyer personas
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers
- Identify shared R&D interests among energy sector and other enterprises, translating technical opportunities into commercially viable offerings
- Plan and facilitate workshops, webinars and technical discovery sessions with internal and external stakeholders
- Drive Energy Web membership satisfaction and growth through collaborative proofs of concept and learning opportunities
Product & Offer Development
- Develop detailed business cases and investment rationales for new R&D initiatives, collaborative ventures and current Energy Web products - ensuring alignment with product managers under guidance of the CCO
- Create customer journey maps, stakeholder personas and gap analyses to support targeted product design and customisation
- Translate market and client feedback into actionable product improvement suggestions
- Participate in product positioning, pricing and broader business strategy discussions
- Maintain accurate documentation of requirements, progress and outcomes across initiatives
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts and performance insights to leadership
