Job role:
The Institutional Fundraising Analyst (the “Analyst”) will be an integral part of the Institutional Fundraising team at Foresight. This role involves close collaboration with Fundraising and Client Reporting professionals, the Fund Managers of the flagship Energy Transition and Natural Capital Funds, as well as the Sustainability, Marketing, and Finance teams.
The Analyst will be responsible for responding to investor requests for bespoke information, preparing generalised marketing documentation, and contributing to regular thought leadership and other forms of fundraising marketing support. Additionally, the Analyst will play a key role in the development of the CRM system, which supports Foresight's programme of engagement with its global investor network.
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include:
- Marketing Collateral Development: Support the creation of high-quality fund marketing materials -including pitchbooks, PPMs, introductory decks, bespoke investor presentations, co-investment materials, and periodic fund updates - ensuring alignment with Foresight’s brand and strategic messaging.
- Thought Leadership & Market Research: Contribute to the production of differentiated thought leadership content (e.g., white papers, webinars, articles, and market commentaries) that reinforces Foresight’s expertise in sustainability, natural capital, and the energy transition.
- Investor Reporting: Assist the Investor Relations team in preparing investor communications, with a focus on drafting insightful market commentary and portfolio updates that enhance transparency and trust.
- CRM & Data Intelligence: Collaborate with fundraising leads to maintain robust investor data infrastructure, ensuring accurate pipeline tracking, reporting, and actionable insights.
- Fundraising Documentation Support: Provide project management support in the preparation of legal and regulatory fundraising documentation, liaising with internal stakeholders and external counsel as needed.
- Investor Insights & Targeting: Conduct research and analysis on institutional investor profiles, allocation trends, and engagement strategies to inform prioritisation and outreach planning across fundraising and investor relations teams.
- Actively engage with and support the DE&I agenda at Foresight.
- Thorough knowledge of and compliance with Foresight’s procedures and standards.
What we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical foundation, exceptional communication skills, and a demonstrated passion for sustainable investing. Key attributes include:
- Impact-driven: a desire to personally contribute to sustainability by helping drive Foresight’s investment programs in Energy Transition and Natural Capital.
- Professional Experience: Ideally 2 years’ experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, investment management, or a related transaction-oriented environment.
- Academic Excellence: Strong academic track record from a leading university, ideally with a degree in finance, economics, or a quantitative discipline.
- Sector Knowledge: Demonstrated interest in climate change, sustainable finance, and infrastructure investing. Familiarity with clean energy, natural capital, or related sectors is highly desirable.
- Communication & Execution: Proven ability to produce polished, high-quality written materials and presentations under tight deadlines, with strong attention to detail.
- Initiative & Drive: A self-starter with intellectual curiosity, a proactive mindset, and a strong motivation to contribute to a mission-driven investment platform.
