Company Overview

Sustainability happens when it makes economic sense. King Energy builds, owns, and operates solar infrastructure on multi-tenant properties. We are a VC-backed, software-first renewable energy company revolutionizing multi-tenant commercial solar. With $36M in venture capital raised from the top renewable investors, including ArcTern, Blackhorn, Next Frontier Capital, and Active Impact, we make solar power accessible and profitable for tenants and landlords alike. Founded by proven executives from industry leaders like Tesla and SolarCity, our team has a proven track record of success. King Energy has over $200M in project funding and more than 20M square feet of commercial rooftop; King Energy is driving the energy transition.

We are a company that fully supports remote work. We encourage travel a few days a year to our headquarters in Durango, Colorado and San Luis Obispo, California, and we have two annual offsites. Otherwise, that is it. You are welcome to live and work wherever you please.

We offer a 9-80 work week (meaning we take every other Friday off), world class benefits, stock options, PTO, and plenty of training in the fast moving world of renewables. We believe in experience and building talent from the ground up. Of course, we welcome everyone equally. To learn more about King Energy, visit our website at www.kingenergy.com.

This person will also help with developing automation and tools to scale LCOE optimization initiatives. This role is well-suited for someone who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable working across functions to solve problems.

Estimating & Bid Support

  • Develop and maintain cost estimates based on historical data and market benchmarks.
  • Support the comparison and evaluation of EPC bids and scope breakdowns.
  • Assist in standardizing bid templates to improve accuracy and repeatability.

Collaboration and Scale

  • Expand automation and improve tools for enhanced estimation, bid and procurement management processes
  • Coordinate across PMO, Finance, Development and Engineering to align procurement with project, timeline and scope requirements.
  • Maintain alignment between procurement decisions and LCOE targets.
