<div> <p><span>Near Space Labs is leading the next generation of Earth imaging. We design, build and operate a fleet of proprietary, stratospheric balloons called Swiftys. Our Swiftys fly to the edge of space to deliver high quality, highly updated imagery of our planet at down to earth prices.</span></p> <p><span>Our innovations don’t stop at image capture. Customers need us to process and serve data in a format that is easily accessible for their data scientists, product managers, geographers, and remote sensing specialists. We make it easy for them to quickly and seamlessly evaluate the dynamics of our planet, climate, and urban environments.</span></p> </div><p> <span>We are looking for our first Sales Development Representative to be on the front-lines of driving revenue for our cutting edge geospatial startup. This role will provide support for building inbound and outbound pipeline. In this role you will report to the Head of Marketing and will learn and develop skills that will become the foundation of your sales career. We are looking for a highly-motivated, energetic candidate with a can-do attitude who excels at multitasking.</span> </p> <h4> <strong>Your responsibilities will be:</strong> </h4> <ul> <li><span>Increase revenue opportunities through outbound activities including calling, emailing, LinkedIn messages, and other creative sales tactics to generate prospects and qualified leads.</span></li> <li><span>Qualify and communicate with inbound inquiries; research accounts, verticals, and personas</span></li> <li><span>Schedule exploratory calls for the sales team and track follow up activities</span></li> <li><span>Work closely with our Marketing and Sales teams to generate, qualify and convert qualified leads.</span></li> <li><span>Convey Near Space Labs’ mission, value proposition, product and services to prospects, partners and customers</span></li> <li><span>Continuously improve sales skills to attain and exceed lead generation and outbound quotas.</span></li> <li><span>Be knowledgeable and stay up to date on product, industry changes, and competitive landscape.</span></li> <li><span>Track all activity in Hubspot and other relevant sales tools.</span></li> <li><span>Attend industry events and conferences to connect with prospects and be one of the front-line faces of Near Space Labs</span></li> </ul> <h4> <strong>Your skills background:</strong> </h4> <ul> <li><span>Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and 2+ years related experience and/or training; or 4+ years of related work experience.</span></li> <li><span>Excited about the geospatial industry, space-tech and/or innovative solutions.</span></li> <li><span>High-energy, team player mentality and self-motivated.</span></li> <li><span>A demonstrated ability to learn complex topics and apply them to GTM strategies.</span></li> <li><span>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</span></li> <li><span>Outstanding organizational, multitasking, prioritization and time-management skills.</span></li> <li><span>Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic team environment.</span></li> </ul> <h4> <strong>What makes you stand out:</strong> </h4> <ul> <li><span>Previous B2B sales experience, especially around geospatial solutions or APIs</span></li> <li><span>Come from a startup or entrepreneurial environment.</span></li> <li><span>LinkedIn Sales Navigator and/or HubSpot experience.</span></li> <li><span>Experience building pipeline for a technical product and/or multi-persona sale.</span></li> <li><span>Experience working with technical and senior management personas.</span></li> <li><span>Experience with the upsell revenue processes.</span></li> <li><span>Desire to establish a career in sales or marketing.</span></li> </ul> <h4> <strong>Location:</strong> </h4> <ul> <li><span>This is a remote position with preference given to New York candidates who are willing to work from our Brooklyn headquarters</span></li> </ul> <h4> <strong>Salary:</strong> </h4> <ul> <li>$50,000-$65,000</li> </ul> <h4> <strong>Benefits:</strong> </h4> <ul> <li>Medical, dental, and vision coverage</li> <li>25 days paid time off</li> <li>Equity</li> <li>Annual team offsites</li> <li>Visit our New York Barcelona offices</li> <li>Learning development reimbursement</li> <li>Opportunity to attend a balloon launch</li> </ul><div> <p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>An exciting startup culture where you will have the opportunity to play a critical role in building and scaling a one-of-a-kind technology and organization.</li> <li>You will be part of an enthusiastic, international and motivated team of professionals who are committed to building unique technologies, being rigorous, and finding novel solutions to interesting problems.</li> <li>A diverse and inclusive workplace where we welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.</li> <li>A commitment that you will never be bored.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Equal employment opportunity:</strong></p> <p>Near Space Labs is committed to diversity in our organization and building an equitable and inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds and experiences.
