Strategic Account Director, U.S. Growth

Location: Houston, Texas (in-market required)

VEERUM is hiring a Strategic Account Director, U.S. Growth based in Houston, Texas to drive new business across the U.S. energy and industrial market.

This role is focused on winning new enterprise accounts. It requires someone who understands how business actually gets done in oil and gas and petrochemical environments, and who can build traction inside complex organizations.

You know the landscape. You know who matters. And you know how to move from introduction to opportunity to deal. This is a targeted, high-impact role.

What You’ll Do

You will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new business across VEERUM’s priority U.S. accounts.

  • Build and execute account strategies across oil and gas, petrochemical, and industrial organizations
  • Identify and engage senior stakeholders across operations, maintenance, construction, projects, digital, and IT
  • Use your market presence and existing relationships to gain access and create qualified opportunities
  • Lead discovery conversations that surface operational challenges, coordination gaps, and inefficiencies
  • Position VEERUM around real business outcomes, not features
  • Own the full sales cycle from first conversation through close
  • Develop tailored business cases and value stories for complex buying groups
  • Navigate multi-stakeholder environments and drive internal alignment within accounts
  • Represent VEERUM in the market through industry events and direct relationship-building
  • Provide market insight to sharpen strategy, positioning, and focus

What You Bring

You are comfortable building something from the ground up and know how to focus your effort where it counts.

  • 5+ years of enterprise sales or strategic account development experience
  • Experience selling into oil and gas, petrochemical, industrial tech, or asset-intensive environments
  • Strong understanding of the Houston energy and industrial market
  • Established relationships across operations, engineering, project, or digital functions
  • Proven ability to create and advance opportunities within complex organizations
  • Experience engaging senior operational and executive stakeholders
  • Strong discovery, deal leadership, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to translate technical or operational concepts into commercial value
  • Discipline in qualifying opportunities and prioritizing strategically
  • Willingness to travel across the U.S. and occasionally to Canada
  • Valid passport

Compensation & Benefits

This role is built for someone who expects to be rewarded for performance.

  • Base salary plus commission
  • First-year on-target earnings: $175,000+
  • Uncapped commission structure
  • $1,000/month benefits allowance
  • Monthly phone allowance
  • Monthly vehicle allowance

Compensation is aligned to new business growth. There is no cap on what you can earn.
