Role

Electric Era is hiring a Production and Test Supervisor to build and oversee a team of technicians and engineers responsible for building and testing PowerNode charging stations, including a high capacity energy storage system. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the build, from build instructions, product assembly & quality management, to factory scheduling and personnel time management. A successful candidate will work closely with the engineering, implementation, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth and on-time delivery of completed hardware, built and tested to rigorous standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the production and test line of a battery energy storage system
  • Spec out full end of line test program to verify hardware meets stringent quality and performance requirements
  • Hire and oversee a small team of technicians and engineers to set up and operate the production line
  • Own build quality outcomes, and implement a build process that can consistently deliver high quality results with a minimum amount of added quality processes and oversight
  • Coordinate with internal teams to manage block upgrade and new product roll-ins
  • Steer overall product design based on manufacturing lessons learned to ensure we optimize for holistic business outcomes
  • Develop and implement processes to streamline efforts and maximize leverage of the production team
  • Build and manage a mixed-discipline team, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management to ensure team success on the items above
  • Prepare shipments and work with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to keep deliveries on schedule

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience overseeing a production or test operation
  • Strong hands-on experience building and testing complicated electromechanical components
  • Familiarity spec’ing and setting up test instrumentation and data recording equipment
  • Strong personal and professional project portfolio demonstrating practical capability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and hard driving attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Forklift Certification
  • Knowledge in Supply Chain and Logistics, and how they affect production schedules
