Role:

Electric Era is hiring a Global Supply Chain Manager to grow our supply chain management team. They will be responsible for ensuring we have all the parts in place to successfully build and deploy our PowerNode system. This person will be responsible for all steps of our supply chain, from vetting suppliers, negotiating contracts, ordering parts, and arranging shipping of purchased goods. They will also provide feedback to our suppliers in the form of Supplier Corrective Action Reports and regular meetings to ensure we receive quality material on time. A successful candidate will work closely with the engineering, implementation, and production teams to ensure smooth and on-time delivery of Bill Of Material parts to keep our production line on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate contracts and payment terms with suppliers
  • Place purchase orders and set delivery dates to align with demand schedule
  • Work with Finance team to understand and reduce costs where possible
  • Grow a team of Supply Chain experts to support all of the above as Electric Era continues to Scale
  • Find alternate suppliers for both cost and lead time improvements
  • Develop and manage supplier metrics, including supplier ratings and scalability predictions
  • Communicate supplier corrective action reports and push to resolution
  • Coordinate with internal teams to manage block upgrade and new product roll-ins
  • Develop and implement processes to streamline efforts and maximize leverage of the supply chain team
  • Arrange shipments with Logistics team and accurately forecast Customs and Warehousing needs for incoming goods

Qualifications and Preferred Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in Hardware supply chain environments
  • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in supply chain management or logistics
  • Experience working with new suppliers, negotiating initial contracts and quality requirements
  • Experience renegotiating contracts and payment terms with legacy suppliers
  • Understanding of International shipping times, Specifically Transpacific Eastbound
  • Knowledge of electrical goods and relevant suppliers
  • Experience working with Development engineering teams
  • Strong personal and professional project portfolio demonstrating practical capability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and hard driving attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
