Role:

Electric Era is hiring a VP of Production to oversee and lead the development of our production and supply chain teams. This role is responsible for making sure that our products are easy and cheap to manufacture at scale, built on time and to high standards of quality, managing the production and supply chain deliverables, and the development of all quality, supply chain, and production processes and systems. You will work closely with finance, operations, engineering, software, implementation and revenue to ensure the timely delivery of customer orders. You will report weekly to the executive staff on progress and operational efficiency of your organizations. You will be responsible for hiring and team talent development. You will oversee the business relationship and coordinate the supply chain and logistics for a global vendor base in North America, Asia, and Europe.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead our production, supply chain, and quality control manufacturing teams including team development and hiring
  2. Develop supply chain, production and quality control processes for Electric Era’s manufacturing lines
  3. Develop and maintain operational interfaces to finance, revenue, and implementation organizations to ensure the timely delivery of customer orders, and the proper accounting and financial management of production outputs
  4. Oversee and improve upon Electric Era’s MES, ERP, and PLM systems for manufacturing and supply chain inventory control
  5. Own the supply chain and logistics for a global vendor base including supplier quality development processes and metrics. Some travel required.
  6. Own the operational efficiency and improvement of Electric Era’s current production lines
  7. Own the implementation of the production line for Electric Era’s next-gen products
  8. Work with product engineering to slash requirements, simplify designs, optimize processes
  9. Advise engineering teams on design for manufacturing principles to maximize quality and minimize input labor during product design development.

Qualifications and preferred experiences:

  1. Minimum of 8 years of experience as a manufacturing leader in a fast paced advanced manufacturing industry
  2. Proficiency in supply chain management and quality control
  3. Fluency with one or more manufacturing MES programs and PLM programs. Warp Drive, ION, and/or Arena experience is preferred.
  4. Proven full project ownership and delivery for complex and undefined design projects
  5. Strong personal and professional project portfolio demonstrating practical capability
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills and hard driving attitude
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  8. Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
  9. Engineering degree in Mechanical, Software, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Equivalent
