Electric Era's Government Affairs team seeks a Compliance & Grant Associate to support Electric Era's business interests through proposal submission and post-award implementation processes. This will involve working with other teams at Electric Era, government agencies, and utilities to track compliance requirements, manage internal teams delivery of the requirements, and ultimately keep our grant-funded projects moving forward towards commissioning. The Compliance & Grant Associate will also be responsible for analyzing new grant opportunities, working closely with our Grants & Proposals Manager, to understand compliance requirements and facilitate a swift proposal submission process. Lastly, this role will contribute to applications that secure government grants and utility incentives related to electric vehicle charging infrastructure on behalf of Electric Era's customers. This role will play a crucial part in expanding Electric Era's reach and promoting the widespread adoption of electric vehicles.

Responsibilities would include:

• tracking compliance requirements for grant-funded projects
• interpreting grant contracts to understand which compliance requirements fall on Electric Era, and which fall on our partners
• working directly with grant agencies (governments and utility companies) to facilitate quick implementation cycles without delay from grant compliance requirements
• reviewing new grant opportunities (RFPs, NOFOs, etc.) for compliance related items and working with proposal team to quickly meet those requirements
• Other work as determined by Electric Era leadership and direct manager

The Compliance & Grant Associate will require working closely with Government Affairs team members and cross-functionally, including our business development, sales, engineering, and implementation teams; collaborating well with our customers, public agencies, utilities, and other external stakeholders; and being capable of juggling multiple projects simultaneously.

The ideal candidate has:

• 2+ years of full-time professional experience;
• strong project management experience;
• experience writing or reviewing contracts
• experience drafting proposals/RFPs/solicitations/tenders;
• impeccable writing skills;
• detail-oriented, ownership mindset;
• competitive spirit;
• ability to juggle multiple projects at once and to work in a fast-moving startup environment; and
• ability to understand and convey technical information.

Salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 with stock options
