Role Overview
The Site Implementation Engineer oversees the deployment of Electric Era charging stations across all phases of the Site Implementation process from design into operation, ensuring sites are delivered to the highest quality standards, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Design EV fast charging sites, including facility layout and electrical design recommendations — encompassing grid interconnection, load management, and energy storage integration — that satisfy customer operational requirements, applicable utility tariffs and interconnection standards, and relevant federal, state, and local codes
- Manage the development and construction process for Electric Era's battery-backed DC fast charging installations across all phases of the process including feasibility assessments, design engineering, permitting and utility coordination, procurement, construction, and commissioning
- Accountable for establishing and maintaining overall budgets and schedules and tracking all project costs
- Communicate and coordinate with customers, site hosts, and other involved parties to build world-class EV fast charging stations
- Develop, document, and optimize project development processes, controls and systems to ensure the scalability of the Site Implementation team across site design, permitting, procurement, construction and commissioning / launch
- Work closely with suppliers and Electric Era's Supply Chain team to facilitate timely procurement of all items required to complete the installation of charging sites at scale
- Coordinate key project management processes to maintain EV station development in an efficient and controlled manner
- Ensure a smooth handoff to Network Operations after commissioning to support industry-leading uptime
- Some travel required to job sites across the US
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering: or 6+ years of relevant work experience in project management
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 1-3+ years in project development
- Exceptional communication and project management skills to effectively progress discussions with important stakeholders
Compensation and Benefits
Total annual compensation range of $80,000 - $120,000, plus equity
